Rooted in Nature, Growing for the Future.
Maai Welfare Foundation is deeply committed to combating climate change and restoring ecosystems through mass tree plantation drives across Maharashtra. We believe that securing the Earth’s green cover is the most effective way to ensure a healthy, sustainable future for generations to come.
“Heal the Earth, Heal our Future.”
A single mature tree can absorb up to 22kg of carbon dioxide per year. By focusing exclusively on aggressive afforestation, we are actively restoring biodiversity, improving local air quality, rebuilding natural wildlife habitats, and reversing soil erosion. We don’t just plant seeds—we nurture them into thriving forests.
What We Plant
We carefully select indigenous, climate-resilient species that support local fauna, require less water, and provide maximum environmental benefits.

The Lifecycle of a Forest
Our proven, scientifically-backed 3-step process to ensure maximum survival rates for every sapling planted.
🌱 Survey & Seedling Prep
Before a single seed hits the ground, our environmental experts conduct extensive research. We test soil quality, assess the local topography, and carefully select indigenous saplings in our nurseries.
- Soil Ph & Moisture Testing
- Native Species Selection
- Organic Nursery Nurturing
🌳 Mass Plantation Drives
We execute highly organized, large-scale planting drives. By mobilizing hundreds of corporate volunteers, students, and local community members, this phase becomes a celebrated environmental festival.
- Community Mobilization
- Strategic Spacing Techniques
- Bio-fertilizer Application
🌿 Nurture, Monitor & Protect
Planting is just 10% of the work; survival is the other 90%. We employ local farmers as “Tree Guardians” to water, de-weed, and protect the saplings for the critical first three years.
- Drip Irrigation Installation
- GPS Geo-Tagging for Donors
- Routine De-weeding & Fencing
